PIETTA LEMAT CAVALRY 6.75″ .44 FOR SALE

The Pietta LeMat 44-Cal. Black-Powder Revolver is an accurate replica of the LeMat revolver, which is also referred to as the “Grape Shot Revolver.” Dr. Jean LeMat invented about 2,900 of them in New Orleans in 1856 with the support of Pierre G.T. Beauregard, who would later become a Confederate general. This Cavalry version of the LeMat is an exact replica of the original model, including a.44 caliber cylinder chambered for nine shots and a rifled 6.75-inch octagonal barrel with a twist of 1:30. The swivel lanyard ring, trigger-guard spur, and checkered walut grips are accurate elements that match those on the originals. On the left side is where the loading lever is located.
